See how Cody is positioned in the roster? He's along a row of final fight characters which includes Guy, Rolento and Sodom.


Outfit Colours

Depending on your ISM and whether you press punch or kick to select your character, it will determine what colours Cody will be wearing.


Z-ism - Red or blue
V-ism - Black or light blue
X-ism - Purple or orange



Background

Cody finds himself in a familar jail setting in a dusty, abandoned area. The jail building itself looks like crumbling any minute, with graffiti on the walls and rusty pipes running along them. One of the cell has its wall tore down, apparantly Cody has something to do with it ..heh.. There's a police officer who's tied up and gagged and several inmates screaming from their lock-up to be released. Of interest is the mysterious winter-clothed dude who's sitting hunchbacked in the left corner, and a fellow convict on the right.

Before the round begins, Cody will perform somethin' stupid and lame, as usual =)

Bosses

Every character has a mid-boss and final-boss before meeting Shin Bison. First stop, Birdie. Next, Guy.

Mid-boss Birdie

Birdie: Hey! You used to be known for your strength around here, huh?
Birdie: But now, ya miserable! I guess life can be unpredictable!
Cody: Yeah, seeing that I have a date with a crazy guy like you today!
Cody: It looks like I'm out of luck. But it's gonna be your loss!
Birdie: I'll make today the worst day of your life!

Final-boss Guy (before the fight)

Guy: I don't like to interfere in the lives of others.
Guy: Everything should be left as it is, but I want to ask you one thing.
Guy: Cody... WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?
Cody: This way of life is simply who I am. Can't you understand that?
Cody: Or would you rather hear the sad, sad story of an EX-hero?
Guy: That's enough... Now, it's time to fight!
Cody: Ha! I expected you to say that! I'm ready... GO FOR IT!



Final-boss Guy (after the fight)

Cody: And now, this is the result... Things never change...
Guy: I don't see why you can't do positive things with such skill.
Cody: Life was peaceful for awhile, but I kept fighting anyway.
Cody: Saying "I can't live in peace" would have been an easy excuse.
Cody: I had no excuse, and could not bear to live any other way.
Guy: Where are you going?
Cody: To the underworld or to heaven, I don't know. Nobody knows...



M. Bison (before the fight)

M.Bison: Hmm... What does the former hero of Metro City want with me?
M.Bison: If you want to join Shadaloo, show me your strength...
Cody: I'm not interested in such petty things.
Cody: The only thing I want to do is to kick your butt!
Cody: Prepare yourself... Defeat will soon have a new best friend!
M.Bison: Hmm... I accept your challenge. Let's see what you've got...
M.Bison: I wonder if you'll still be confident in about 10 seconds...

Ending

Spoiler warning: If you haven't completed the game by defeating M.Bison with Cody, you better go and do it. Otherwise, voila!
