L

ittle is known of the man they call Cody. Only once did he make front page news by rescuing the City of Metro from the evil clutches of the criminal gang, Madgear. Together with his trusted buddy Guy, and Haggar, mayor of Metro and father of his girlfriend who got kidnapped, they went on a rampage through the crime-infested streets with the sole intent of bringing down Madgear and its boss Belger, and rescue Jessica.

adgear was notorious for the wrong reasons. Seemingly any crime commited can be connected to them. The new mayor of Metro, Haggar, thus decided to clamp down hard on the evil-doers and eradicate the gang once and for all. Madgear, wanting to hold the upperhand, decided to kidnap Jessica, the lovely daughter of Haggar, to make him comply to their threats.

ody would have none of that shit and sets off himself in search of blood. Guy insisted on tagging along just to kick ass and Haggar also abandoned his post of Mayor to join the 2 to get his daughter back. They pretty much whoop everyone's backside, needless to say. And got to the final boss, where Belger was flung out of a 80-storey building's window and to his death, though rumours still abound that he's actually alive and plotting his revenge with an underground secret society. With the supposed death of Belger, the Madgear gang collapsed into disaray and its prominent members divided into different camps with each proclaiming themselves the new leader. It didn't take long for internal strife to set in and Madgear was but a distant memory.

ll this while, after rescuing Jessica, Cody wasn't right. He'll go missing for days and always appeared dazed. Even close friend Guy and girlfriend Jessica was dumbfounded by Cody's actions. Then one day, it finally happened. Cody went berserk and begun plummenting anyone he saw on the street. He had this aggressive streak in him he couldn't control and had to let it out by picking fights, with punks, cops, anyone. Haggar had no choice but to dump the once hero Cody into jail and charged him with numerous counts of assault and battery.

ody was subsequently convicted of all the charges he faced and locked up for good. The judge ruled temporary insanity and Cody was spared the chair. He was then deported to an unknown penitentiary, much to the dismay of Guy. Months turned to years and Guy never heard from his old friend, though he kept faith that he'll meet up with Cody again.

A new organisation threatens the peace once more

M

etro City, after the euphoria of the Madgear criminal gang, became an anonymous little town once more. It stayed that way till recently, when a new organisation headed by M.Bison sought to wreak havoc by unleashing the "Psycho Power". The government had no answer to this powerful overlord blessed with immense dark abilities, the likes they've never seen. On the verge of surrendering, news filtered through that M.Bison's Shadowloo has been destroyed completely and the whole country was shocked. Sources traced it down to 2 men, whose appearance was described exactly as the heros who saved Metro City, Cody and Guy.
